An important win at home

The team grabs a 3-0 victory over Karayolları today with Tijana Boskovic exploding for 20 points. 

• Showing a balanced offensive performance throughout the first set, the team managed to lead the set by 25-18 with Tijana Boskovic’s powerful jump serves starting the fire before the technical time-out. 
• With young spiker Saliha Şahin and setter Carli Lloyd fueling the team after they were subtituted in the second set, the team came out strong and led the set with a close result by 25-23.
• In the final set, libero Simge Aköz did a great job in showing how resistent her team is. With Hande Baladın’s consecutive serves making the final touch of the game, the team managed to grab the set by 25-17 thus continuing our Turkish League campaign with the third straight win in the second half.
  Today’s top scorers of the team were Tijana Boskovic (20 pts) and Hande Baladın (12). With Yasemin Güveli bringing in 4 stuff blocks, the team scored a total of 11 blocks today.

Leaving behind today’s game, the team is now focused on the coming derby against Fenerbahçe Opet in the Champions League Pool A’s fifth leg.
