Volleyball stars Carli Lloyd, Natalia Pereira and Tijana Boskovic have started the action ‘Block The Fires, Save The Koalas’ to draw attention on the wildfires in Australia, which have unfortunately been the worst wildfires seen in decades.
Starting with the video message that setter Carli Lloyd has shared through her Instagram account, the donation campaign aims to draw attention, raise awareness and call others to take an action.
This is how their contribution to the movement ‘Block the Fires, Save the Koalas’ will work: During the month of January, Carli will donate $25 for every block point that she will make; Natalia will donate $50 for each ace she will score and Tijana Boskovic will donate $10 for each attack point she will score.
Inviting other volleyball players to join the movement, Carli asked Natalia, Tijana and the American outside hitter Kelsey Robinson through a video post on her official Instagram account:
