Tigers have scored an important away win in the ninth week of the Turkish League against Aydın.
Coming back from 5-2 down to a 9-0 streak with the help of Chiaka Ogbogu’s consecutive serves and a solid block performance, the team quickly took the lead before the technical timeout of the first set. With Tijana Boskovic adding 6 points on 4 kills, 1 ace and 1 block, the first set ended 25-14 in our favor.
The second set was narrow for a long while until Aydın took the lead and finished the set by 25-20.
Tigers came out strong in the third set, making the difference in crucial moments by blocking Aydın’s offensive efforts. The third set ended 25-18 in our favor.
The fourth set was not easy to grab. However, the team stayed focused until the end and managed to finish the game in four sets by winning the fourth set 25-18.
While Tijana Boskovic is the best scorer of the match by 27 points, the team scored a total of 13 blocks with four of them belonging to middle blocker Beyza Arıcı.
For the tenth week of the Turkish League we will host Türk Hava Yolları on October 17, Saturday.
