The team has collected three points against Karayolları in the eighth week of the Turkish League.
Despite the quick start of the guest team Karayolları, we came out stronger in the first set with our young setter Elif Şahin finding a good balance between her attackers. With Hande Baladın and Yasemin Güveli leading the team in attacks, we won the first set by 25-18.
After losing the second set, the team resisted well against all efforts of Karayolları and managed to take back the lead in the third set. With captain Tijana Boskovic leading her team, we won the third set by 26-24.
Starting the fourth set with an 8-0 streak was the key of winning it comfortably by 25-10. Thus our winning efforts were crowned by collecting three points home on soil.
Tijana Boskovic is the best scorer of the day by 24 points.
The team will depart for Aydın for the ninth week match which will take place next Tuesday, October 13.

Marco Motta: “We made a lot of mistakes today. In the fourth set we displayed our true level. In general our attack performance was good but especially in block and defense we couldn't do our best."
Yasemin Güveli: “Karayolları made a good start to the match. Despite that we have lost one set we managed to keep it up until the end and came out strong especially in the last set. It is important for us that we have won another three points before the tough week ahead.”
