How would a professional volleyball player spend the day productively these days without playing volleyball? Our new “Pass the Time” series start with Yeon Koung Kim sharing her life in the Covid-19 world.
Joining the “Pass The Time” campaign initially started by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) in order to entertain volleyball fans during this period they all spend at home, we decided to ask Eczacıbaşı VitrA ladies what their daily routines are, what kind of exercises they regularly practice and how they cope up with the current situation whilst at home.

Every two days I go to our Club gym and do the weight training that our fitness coach Eduardo has sent me. I am also doing some home workout that he has sent us. When I don’t have a training in the morning I wake up a little late somewhere between 8-10 am after 7-8 hours of sleep. I have a big breakfast, watch some movies, series and speak with my family and friends. If I have some time, I do a little bit of home workout. I cook and watch something. So nothing very special.
Actually it is difficult to stay strong physically and mentally at such moments. I try to keep myself away from thinking too much. Now I keep my body ready to train well as much as I can. I take care of my body by eating well. I think my body is in a good shape at the moment. Mentally I am trying not to think too much about the coronavirus and to keep myself a little calm.
These days I have a lot of time at home. I don’t go out but I just do shopping at the supermarket. I have started to talk with more fans and to communicate with more people. I have a YouTube channel for which I have been working more now.
This period is very hard for everyone. Staying home gets boring and it really is a bad situation. I want to tell everyone that they stay home to make sure they are healthy and also the ones around them are healthy. We have to respect everyone. Please take care of your body, wash your hands and stay home if you can.
