Defeating our city rivals Fenerbahçe Opet 3-2 for the fourth time this season, the team claims a crucial win today in the 17th week of the Vestel Venus Sultans League.
Tigers were in full swing in the first set with Hande Baladın starting the fire through her attacks. A collective performance in block and defense was the key to grab the first set by 25-17.
Despite Tijana Boskovic’s killer attacks, Fenerbahçe took the lead in the late parts of the set and finished it by 25-23.
Coming back stronger in the third set, the team did a great job in playing their own game and quickly brought the set to an end by 25-10.
Beyza Arıcı emerged aggressively in the fourth set as she scored couple of stuff blocks. Yet home team Fenerbahçe turned the set in their favor and brought the game to another fifth set again as it has happened for the fourth time this season.
Making a difference with our block performance in the final set, the team took the lead at the side swith by 8-6 and managed to finish the set by 15-12.
