Tigers remain unbeaten with a home win against Aydın

09 November 2019

Eczacıbaşı VitrA’s unbeaten start to the Turkish League season continued with a 3-0 win against Aydın BŞB today.

Key Performances

  • Hande Baladın gave us the lead in the first set as she scored 7 points. In addition to Hande’s rise at her comeback game after suffering a slight shoulder injury in the past weeks, the team did a great job especially in block and defense.
  • Scoring 7 points each in the second set, Tijana Boskovic and Natalia Pereira helped their team in holding control of the game. Middle blockers Yasemin Güveli and Beyza Arıcı were also on the stage as the team reached a total of 8 block points at the end of the second set.
  • Setter Carli Lloyd striked in the third set as she not only scored 4 points individually but also brought middle blocker Ergül Eroğlu straight in to the ‘mood’ with some successfully finished quick attacks.

Key Stats

  • Today’s best scorers have been Tijana Boskovic (18 pts), Hande Baladın (13 pts) and Natalia Pereira (12 pts).
  • The team has scored a total of 10 blocks and 7 aces.
The result continues the Tigers’ winning sequence of 7 games. After a day off, the team will start to prepare for our away game against PTT, which will take place in Ankara Başkent Volleyball Hall this Tuesday at 4 pm.
