Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul secured their first home match win in the İstanbul Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall, defeating the Russian side Uralochka-NTMK Ekaterinburg by 3-1 in the 1st Leg of the 2019 CEV Champions League’s Pool B.
In front of a spectator crowd of 1250 people in İstanbul Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall on the Wednesday night, Eczacıbaşı VitrA defeated Uralochka-NTMK Ekaterinburg 3-0 where the young Korean spiker Yeon Koung Kim fueling the Turkish powerhouse by scoring 19 points and Nikolay Karpol’s student Kseniia Parubets becoming the best scorer with 17 points. Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul took control over the game as they scored a total of 6 block points and won the first set by 25-16.
The Russian powerhouse Uralochka NTMK-Ekaterinburg made a good start into the second set where their captain Kseniia Parubets carried her team in attack. Eczacıbaşı VitrA managed to balance the game and won the second set 25-17.
The third set started point-by-point, but the host team didn’t lose control and grabed their first victory in the #CLVolleyW.
