The team will host Unet e-work Busto Arsizio in the second leg of our CEV Champions League quarterfinal matchup. In order to claim a spot in the semifinals, the Tigers need to win the ‘Golden Set’ which is played either after a 3-0 or a 3-1 win.
Telling that the team has a great potential with every single player being ready to take responsibility if needed, team manager Nalan Ural reflects on the upcoming match:
“Eczacıbaşı is a very experienced club of the European Cups. We have fought until the end in Italy and will fight once again. With the great support of our coach, technical staff and captains, we have faith in securing a spot in the next round.”
On the other hand, the captain of the Italian team, Alessa Genari reflects on the upcoming match: “Regarding to the returning match on Thursday I think it’s going to be a very difficult challenge both because we will play outside, and because Eczacıbaşı will certainly be able to recover some players whom are really important for the Team. We have to expect a different match and for sure we have to raise our level and try to make fewer mistakes. It will be difficult but we will certainly try to reconfirm, aware that we have a great advantage.”
