Beyza Arıcı signs new Eczacıbaşı VitrA contract

The successful middle blocker of Eczacıbaşı VitrA, Beyza Arıcı has signed a contract extension with us.

Playing for the Tigers since four years, the experienced middle blocker has achieved great results with the orange and white jersey and for the Turkish National Team as well.

Reflecting on her new agreement, Beyza Arıcı says, “I am glad to continue with the Club which has become like a second family to me in the past four years. I will continue to do the best for my team. Hopefully, we will have years full of titles and successes together.”

Beyza Arıcı was born in Izmir in 1995. Having played at Işıkkent İzmir, Seramiksan, Sarıyer Belediyespor, VakıfBank and Çanakkale Belediyespor teams, Beyza joined us in 2017-2018 season.

In 2017, Beyza won the U23 FIVB World Championship at the Turkish National Team, becoming also the Best Middle Blocker of the tournament.  

In the 2017-2018 season, she displayed a remarkable performance throughout her first year where she has become the Best Middle Blocker in the Vestel Venus Sultans League and won the 2018 CEV Cup. In the 2018-2019 season, she won the Turkish Super Cup, a bronze in the 2018 FIVB Club World Championship and the Turkish Cup title. 

Playing her third season with Eczacıbaşı VitrA, Beyza opened the 2019-2020 season victoriously by winning the Turkish Super Cup. A few months later, she recorded an important achievement at the 2019 FIVB Club World Championship, where the team has won a silver medal in Shaoxing, China.

Beyza has continued her rise at the Turkish National Team as well. She has won a silver medal in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.

Beyza claimed her third straight Turkish Champions Cup title in the 2020-21 season.
