Closing the year victoriously

27 December 2020

In our second postponement match of the week, the team had a 3-0 victory over Beşiktaş on home soil and closed the first part of the season with a solid win.

The first set was going narrow until the team was leading 12-8 at the technical timeout. With Saliha Şahin and Melis Durul carrying the team by 8 and 6 points, respectively, Tigers gained momentum after the technical timeout and grabbed the first set by 25-14.

Keeping our control over the game in the second set, the team was successfully carried by its young middle blockers Merve Atlıer and Yasemin Güveli. We won the second set 25-14.

In the third set, there was a tie until the technical timeout. Yet Tigers managed to elevate their game after the timeout and finish their last match of the year in three sets.
