Last season's finalist, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit, started the CEV Champions League with a victory by beating the Hungarian team Vasas Obuda Budapest 3-0 in its home field by 27-25, 25-21 and 25- in their first match in the 2024 CEV Champions League Pool B.
In the first set of the match, which witnessed breathtaking rallies, the Orange and White team came from behind and won the set 27-25. Simge Aköz, one of the Eczacıbaşı Dynavit team captains, showed a remarkable performance in the set with the tough balls she took from the defense.
Continuing its superiority over the opponent in the last set, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit won the set 25-17 and the match 3-0. Captain Tijana Boskovic was chosen as the most valuable player of the match by scoring 23 points with 16 attacks, 6 serves and 1 block. Eczacıbaşı Dynavit players achieved 8 serves and 5 blocks.
Sharing her thoughts after the match Hande Baladın, “We are happy to start to CEV Champions League with a victory. Every point, every set is so important this year, on the road to the final. We know this and we are ready as a team. On the first set, we made some mistakes but we managed to get the win.”

We could play better in second and third set but I think we have a bright future as a team. I congratulate Eczacıbaşı Dynavit.”
