Eczacıbaşı Sports Club added Barış Özdemir and Emre Nur to the technical staff of its Academy.
Stating that he is happy to be a part of the Eczacıbaşı family, Barış Özdemir said about his transfer, "I hope that we will train good athletes for Turkish volleyball and Eczacıbaşı and we will be successful in line with our goals."
Expressing his views on his transfer to Eczacıbaşı Youth, Emre Nur said, "I am very excited to be coaching at Eczacıbaşı, one of the most respected and well-established clubs in Turkish volleyball. I will be here with all my energy to bring valuable players to the Eczacıbaşı Senior Team and Turkish Volleyball.”
About Barış Özdemir
Former national volleyball player Barış Özdemir, born in 1972, played for Turkish National Men's Volleyball 200 times in his career. Özdemir, who took part in the men's national teams during his coaching career, took charge in Beşiktaş JK and VakıfBank Sports Club, respectively.
Between 2014 and 2015, Özdemir won the Balkan Championship and the sixth place in World Championship with the Youth Men's National Team, which he coached.
In 2014-2015, he participated in the Baku European Games as the assistant coach of the Turkish National Men's Volleyball Team. Between 2016-2017, he worked as an assistant coach in the U21 Men's National Team and A National Men's Volleyball Teams. Between 2017-2022, he won the Turkish Championship for three consecutive seasons with VakıfBank Youth Team. In 2018-2019, he coached the VakıfBank team that advanced from the 2nd League Team to the 1st League. Lastly, in the 2021-2022 season, he has won the Youth Girls and Junior Girls Turkish Championships.
About Emre Nur
Born in 1990, Emre Nur graduated from Marmara University Department of Physical Education Teaching. He started his career at Fenerbahçe Sports Club in 2009.
Nur, who won two Turkish Championships, two second places and two third places in Turkey in the base categories, coached the 2nd League and 1st League Women's Volleyball Teams.
He coached the Fenerbahçe University Volleyball Team in the 2021-2022 season which advanced to the 1st League.
Emre Nur, who worked as an assistant coach in various age groups of the Youth National Teams, won the Balkan Championship three times, the European Championship and the EYOF Third Place, and served as an assistant coach at the Youth World Championships twice.
