The team had a 3-0 win against the Tigers today in the first match of the Turkish League’s second half.
With Gözde Yılmaz carrying her team by 13 points and Hande Baladın by 11 points, Tigers had a solid win on home soil. The team scored 6 aces points in total throughout the whole match.
Reflecting on the match, Head Coach Ferhat Akbaş said, "I think we made a good start to the second half of the league by winning three points. Especially in this match, our attack and setter organizations were very successful. We will play tough matches in the month of January and this has been the last rehearsal for us. From now on, we will work for each match by being aware that each match will be very important."
Also sharing her thoughts, Elif Şahin said, “I am happy that we have started the second half of the league by winning. We haven’t made too much mistakes during this match and I think we managed to show a good performance. Now there is the VakıfBank derby ahead of us that we need to focus on. Our goal is to emerge victorious in that match.“
Continuing our Turkish League campaign, the Tigers will play the VakıfBank derby next week on 17 January, next Monday.
