Having brought some unforgettable titles to Turkey from different international tournaments, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit is now heading to Germany to face Allianz MTV Stuttgart for the CEV Cup championship match.
In their first match in the CEV Cup Final, the Orange and Whites had a 3-1 defeat over Allianz MTV Stuttgart in Istanbul. Winning two sets in the away match will be enough for the Tigers to become champions of the 2022 CEV Cup. If the German team wins either 3-0 or 3-1, a Golden Set which consists of 15 points is to be played to decide the winner.
Huge support from Turkish citizens living in Germany
Turkish citizens who live in Germany show huge interest for the championship match of Eczacıbaşı Dynavit which is to take place next Tuesday, March 22, at 7 pm local time in SCHARRena Stuttgart.
During the ceremony before the first match in Istanbul, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit players have held a banner saying “Peace at Home, Peace in the World”, the famous saying of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Founder of the Turkish Republic. Before the match in Germany, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit athletes will wear shirts saying “Give Peace a Chance”, inspired by the song of John Lennon to point out the power of sports in uniting people and standing against war.
Having won the FIVB Club World Championship once, CEV Champions League once, Cup Winners Cup once, ‘Daughters of Atatürk’ will win the CEV Cup for a second time after 2018 if they win the final round against Allianz MTV Stuttgart. Winning the 2022 CEV Cup title would have a special meaning as it would be the 80th trophy of Eczacıbaşı Sports Club museum.
