Eczacıbaşı emerge victorious in Ankara

Tigers had an away win against PTT in three straight sets in the 19th Week of the Turkish League.

Tigers made a good start to the match by winning the first set 25-19 with the help of a balanced game in the Başkent Volleyball Hall where thousands of spectators were present.

The second set went thrilling until the end. Yet Eczacıbaşı Dynavit came out stronger in the final part of the set.

In the third set which the team won 22-25, the attack and block performance was the key.

Tijana Boskovic was the best scorer of the match by 18 points. Laura Heyrman and Beyza Arıcı scored 14 and 13 points, respectively. Eczacıbaşı Dynavit players scored a total of 11 blocks.

Reflecting on the match, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit Head Coach Ferhat Akbaş said, “PTT away match is always a difficult one. There was a huge crowd today. We showed a very good spirit in a good atmosphere. We are happy that we won three points in this tough away match. We will keep working hard to continue our rise.”

About today’s victory, the outside hitter Hande Baladın said, “We are really happy about the performance that we showed as a team. It was very important for us to get the results of our hard work at this tough PTT away match. We return home by winning three points. We need to add on to our performance.”

Tigers will play against Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor on home soil on February 18, Friday at 17:00. There will be live broadcast on Misli.com Web – Mobil TV.
