Eczacıbaşı VitrA has won the bronze in the 2018 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, defeating the Brazilian team Praia Clube 3-0 in the bronze medal game.
Having made a good start today with the help of our opposite player Gözde Yılmaz and middle blocker Beyza Arıcı’s strong performance, Eczacıbaşı VitrA won the first set 25-16. As our team sustained its powerful perfomance in block and attack, our captain Jordan Larson made an important contribution in winning the second set 25-18. Eczacıbaşı VitrA held control in the third set (25-19) and defeated the Brazilian team 3-0.
Gözde Yılmaz has not only become the best scorer but also been awarded as the MVP today.
Having played the last game in Shaoxing, China tonight, Eczacıbaşı VitrA finished the tournament in the third place and recevied the bronze medal in the award ceremony.
