Competing in the 2nd League with our youth players since the beginning of 2020-2021 season, Eczacıbaşı Volleyball Team have completed regular season by 59 points and claimed a spot in the semifinals by finishing the league in the second place.
16 teams divided in four different pools will compete in the tournament which is to take place between March 17 and 19 in Ankara in the format of a single-round league. The first and second ranked teams of each pool will claim their spots in the Finals which will take place between March 26 and 28.
Eczacıbaşı Volleyball Team will play against Ankara Mert Sigorta, Konya Ereğli Belediyesi and Van B.Ş.B. Gençlik Spor in Pool D.
Manager of Eczacıbaşı Academy, Asuman Baş reflects on the upcoming semifinals:
“We are very happy that our team competing in the 2nd League which we have built in order to raise the technical abilities and match experiences of our young players have the chance to proceed to the semifinals just in the first year of our project. First of all, we would like to thank all our managers who support our Academy, our Senior Team’s administrative and technical staff and our club personnel. The girls are very excited to play such a high-level tournament. Of course, Eczacıbaşı always have high goals. Our goal is to advance to the 1st League by improving our players. To achieve this we want to give our best in the Semifinals and thus, claim a spot in the Finals."
