Eczacıbaşı VitrA advances to Cev Cup Finals

Eczacıbaşı VitrA gained the early edge with a 6:5 lead thanks to consecutive kills from Meliha, Rachael and Jordan and forced SSC Palmberg Schwerin to take the first technical time out at 8:8.

Two back-row kills by the German team and the score is tied at 9:9. Just before the technical time out, SSC Palmberg Schwerin stopped the match once again and took their second technical time out at 14:9. Maja Ognjenovic started to set middle blocker Rachael Adams more and American star added 3 more points to Orange and White’s 16:10.

Maja Ognjenovic finished it off at 25-18 with a hammer at the middle of the net. 

Eczacıbaşı VitrA was first to take a two-point lead at 5:3 with Tijana Boskovic’s ace point. SSC Palmberg Schwerin wanted to bounce back and resist however they could not stop Orange and White’s effective serves. German setter Hanke put some quality serves while trying to come back at 11:7. Middle blocker Büşra’s block point led German coach to take the first technical time out at 13:8.

Tijana Boskovic stepped in and jumped out to a 3-0 lead and made the score 16:13. Orange and White’s kept dominating the second set and finished 25:16

In the third set, Head Coach Marco Motta substituted Tijana Boskovic with Gozde Yilmaz and Busra Kilicli with Beyza Arici.

Eczacıbaşı VitraA struck early again with a 9-7 lead. Marco Motta took the first technical time out at 9:8 while SSC Palmberg Schwerin got fired up. Rachael Adams stepped in the game and put a block point while the German team kept scoring.

Eczacıbaşı VitrA ended the third and won the match 3:0 and advanced to the Cev Cup Finals.
