Eczacıbaşı VitrA defeated Çanakkale Belediyespor 3-0 in the opener game of Vestel Venus Sultans League’s Week 17.
Our team started the game well today with the help of our experienced players Güldeniz Önal and Gözde Yılmaz’s attacks in the first set (25-22). The second set continued point-by-point, yet Eczacıbaşı VitrA managed to lead the game after Büşra Kılıçlı’s quick attack before the technical time out (12-11). The thrilling second part of the set was finished by our oppposite player Tijana Boskovic’s nice tip (25-21).
In the final set, which we won by 25-15, our captain Jordan Larson made an important contribution in attack and reception. With today’s win our team also continued the unbeaten run in the Turkish League by 17 wins.
Jordan Larson was the best scorer today with 20 points. Güldeniz Önal and Gözde Yılmaz also had an important share, scoring 11 points each.
