As the leader in Vestel Venus Sultans League, Eczacıbaşı VitrA departs for AXA Sigorta Kupa Voley (also known as Turkish Cup) to İzmir.
Having won Turkish Cup eight times, the team will once again compete to bring the trophy home and also to hold its title as the team which won the most Turkish Cup championships.
Team manager Nalan Ural shared the following before departure:
“After the Champions League has unfortunately ended earlier than expected, we are now focusing on our goals in the national competitions. We will be happy to see all our fans from İzmir.”
The quarter final match against Nilüfer Belediyesi will be played this Friday, March 22, at 5 pm in İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall. In case of a win, the team will play against the winner of Galatasaray-Aydın BŞB quarter final match. Final clash will take place this Sunday, March 24, at 5 pm.
Besides Eczacıbaşı VitrA, VakıfBank, Fenerbahçe Opet, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, Beşiktaş, Aydın B.Ş.B., Nilüfer Bld. and Turkish Airlines will compete in the Kupa Voley Finals, between March 22 and 24.
