Eczacıbaşı VitrA made a powerful start into the game with the help of our setter Ezgi Dilik’s clever sets and led the first set 25-16. After our captain Jordan Larson opened the second set with an ace, our young star Tijana Boskovic’s powerful attacks also had an important share in the second set (25-16). Despite the loss of third set (25-22), Eczacıbaşı VitrA took back the control and won 3-1.
Tijana Boskovic has become the best scorer of the game with 24 points today. The Orange and Whites celebrated the win with Turkish supporters in Kazan.
Before the match, the home team Dinamo Kazan retired our captain Jordan Larson’s No. 10 jersey in the Saint Petersburg Hall at an emotional ceremony. Jordan played at Dinamo Kazan for many years, where she made an important contribution in her former team’s historical achievements.
