Eczacıbaşı VitrA finished the 2018 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship’s Pool B in the first place after defeating the Brazilian team Praia Clube 3-0.
The first set that started with thrilling points ended in favor of the Brazilian team Praia Clube (27-25). In the second set, both teams displayed excited rallies. Eczacıbaşı VitrA managed to win the set 25-21 wtih the help of our Captain Jordan Larson’s strong performances in serving and attack. As Eczacıbaşı VitrA to control of the game in the third set, our players Boskovic and Kim made an important contribution with their attacks. (25-11) Our middle blockers Beyza and Lauren carried the team to a 3-1 win with their performances in the fourth set.
The MVP and the top scorer of the game, our Captain Jordan Larson scored 21 points today. Also, our libero Simge Aköz’s digs and our Korean star Yeon Koung Kim’s strong attacks were important factors that carried the team in today’s win.
