Eczacıbaşı VitrA defeated the Bursa team Nilüfer Belediyespor 3-1 in the first game of 2018-19 Vestel Venus Sultans League’s second half today.
After the guest team Nilüfer Belediyespor won the first set (25-22), Eczacıbaşı VitrA came strong in the second set with the help of our captain Jordan Larson’s important contribution in defense and our Korean star Yeon Koung Kim’s strong attacks (25-18). Our opposite player Tijana Boskovic’s powerful attacks and our middle blockers Büşra Kılıçlı and Beyza Arıcı’s block performance were remarkable as our team won the third set 25-15 and led the the game 2-1. Our team held control of the game in the thrilling final set (3-1) and claimed thereby the first victory of the year.
Our young star Tijana Boskovic has become the best scorer today with 22 points. Also the team scored a total of 11 points in block.
