Eczacıbaşı VitrA to play the final clash at Kupa Voley

Defeating Galatasaray HDI Sigorta 3-2 at AXA Sigorta Kupa Voley Semi Final, Eczacıbaşı VitrA has become the first finalist of tomorrow’s clash.

Leading the game by a 7-1 streak with the help of captain Jordan Larson’s serves, Eczacıbaşı VitrA won the first set by 25-11. The team performance in block was an important factor in winning the first set.

Going on point by point, the second set finished in favor of Galatasaray despite Eczacıbaşı VitrA’s continuing block perfomance (22-25).

Galatasaray didn’t lose the control and resisted against Meliha İsmailoğlu’s powerful serves at the end of the third. The fourth set also ended in favor of Galatasaray, 25-19, and 1-2 in sets.

With captain Jordan Larson’s remarkable performance in defense and attack, Eczacıbaşı VitrA gained an important chance to tie the game (25-16).

In the thrilling tie-break, Galatasaray’s leadance was ruined by Tijana Boskovic’s strong attacks. Changing courts advantegously (8-6), Eczacıbaşı VitrA won exciting rallies and won 15-8.  

Eczacıbaşı VitrA’s will face Fenerbahçe Opet in the Axa Sigorta Kupa Voley's final clash, which will start at 6 pm tomorrow in İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall. The game will be broadcast live on TRT Spor.
