Having lost the semi-final 3-2, our team will play for the bronze tomorrow in the 2018 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship.
In the semi final clash, our team won the first set 25-22, as our captain Jordan Larson and opposite Tijana Boskovic carried the team strong during the final points. The thrilling second set finished 26-24 in favor of the Brazilian side. We played strong rallies in the beginning of the third set, yet the Brazilian side finished the set 25-13.
Our team managed to balance the game in the fourth set, as our captain Jordan Larson displayed a strong performance in serving and attack. Her contribution was carried by Yeon Koung Kim’s powerful attacks to end the set 25-23. Our team fought point-by-point in the tie-break yet couldn’t result the game in a 3-2 win over the Brazilian team Minas Tenis Clube.
In the earlier stages of the championship which is held in Shaoxing, China, Eczacıbaşı VitrA won all three games and finished Pool B in the first place.
Tomorrow in the bronze medal clash, Eczacıbaşı VitrA will face the Brazilian team Praia Clube (December 9). The game will be at 5 pm China local time and will be broadcasted on TV. Please check the link below for the FIVB's live streaming information:
