Eczacıbaşı VitrA finishes Week 4 of the Vestel Venus Sultans League victoriously as it defeated Fenerbahçe 3-0.
Grabing three points once again, Eczacıbaşı VitrA won the derby without a losing set, which is the fourth time in a row in the Turkish League so far this season.
As the game started with a thrilling point-by-point performance of both teams, our team’s comeback after the 8-0 strike was the key to win the 1st set, which finished 26-24. Having taken the control in the beginning of the 2nd set, Eczacıbaşı VitrA spiker Meliha İsmailoğlu and middle blocker Beyza Arıcı had an important share in leading the game by 2-0. Having displayed a remarkable team performance in the following, Eczacıbaşı VitrA won the game in straight sets.
Yeon Koung Kim has become the best scorer of the game with17 points. Our Serbian star Tijana Boskovic also had an important share on today’s 3-0 win over Fenerbahçe.
The Oranges and Whites celebrated the victorious result with the fan group in the Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall.
In the fifth week of the league, Eczacıbaşı VitrA will take on Turkish Airlines Sports Club on November 16, Friday at 7 pm (Turkish local time). The game will take place in our home court, Eczacbaşı Sports Hall, and be broadcasted on TV.
