Eczacıbaşı VitrA defeated the Ankara team Halkbank in straight sets in Week 13 of the Vestel Venus Sultans League.
As the first set started point-by-point, Eczacıbaşı VitrA took control over the game after Yeon Koung Kim’s powerful attack right before the technical time out (12-7). Our team managed to lead the game in the following parts of the first set with the help of our oppoiste Gözde Yılmaz’s strong performance in attack(25-14). With our middle blockers Büşra Kılıçlı and Lauren Gibbemeyer’s contribution in the front line, our team finished the second set 25-15. Eczacıbaşı VitrA didn’t lose control over the game in the final set (25-15) and collected thereby three points in Week 13.
While Gözde Yılmaz became the best scorer of the game with 16 points, Korean Star Yeon Koung Kim scored 14 points.
