Eight Eczacıbaşı VitrA players will join the Turkish National Team preliminary squad after the club season.
Besides libero Simge Şebnem Aköz, spiker Meliha İsmailoğlu, opposite player Gözde Yılmaz, setter Ezgi Dilik and middle blocker Beyza Arıcı, Hande Baladın, who has gone on loan to Galatasaray HDI Sigorta this season and Yasemin Güveli and Elif Şahin, who have played for the Ankara team Karayolları on loan, have been named in the Turkish National Team preliminary squad.
Turkey will first play the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL), which consists of five legs and the Final Round. After the VNL, the national team will face China, Germany and Czech Republich to be qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Games. The final test in this summer will be the CEV European Championship to be held between August 23 and September 8, in Turkey and three other host countries.
