Game 4 of the Finals was a sight to see. Eczacıbaşı VitrA beat VakıfBank 3-2 and brought the Series to 2-2. Tigers will battle against VB one last time to clinch the title this Sunday.
The game was off to a great start with Tigers leading 7-1 and 12-7 by the end of the technical time-out. Eczacıbaşı VitrA lead the set at all times and held their ground hence ending the first set 25-16.
The second set started with both teams showing their defensive skills with VakıfBank leading the set 12-8 at the technical time out. Beyza’s critical attacks from the center was not enough to take over the lead and the game was at 1-1 (25-18).
Eczacıbaşı VitrA came back stronger in the third set with Büşra’s attacks and Gamze’s ace forcing VakıfBank to take a time-out at 9-6. When the time came for the technical time out, the scoreboard showed 12-9 with Kim putting in the last point. The second part of the third set could be seen as a spectacular clash between the two giants. Both teams fought hard to grab the set however it was Boskovic who put an end to it with a classy spike. The scoreboard showed 25-23 Eczacıbaşı VitrA.
Tijana Boskovic was again on fire at the beginning of the fourth with back-to-back points and hence giving the control of the game to Eczacıbaşı VitrA. With Kim’s help Tigers were the first to get to 12 (12-9). However the second part of the set was not like the first with VakıfBank coming back and snatching it away 25-21. Tie break set was on the horizon.
Tie break was breath taking. VakıfBank led the set at the court change with 8 points to 6. But it was not over yet. Eczacıbaşı VitrA showed great resilience with everyone on court giving out their best performances to say “Not today”. Tigers won the set 15-13. Eczacıbaşı VitrA tied the series at 2-2.
5th and Final Game of the series will be played this Sunday at 14:00 in Burhan Felek Sports Hall. The Game will be aired live from TRT Spor. It will be a game to remember.
