Eczacıbaşı VitrA adds Gamze Alikaya to its upcoming season’s roster. The Turkish National Team setter will be playing for Eczacıbaşı VitrA for the 2018-2019 season while wearing jersey number 8.
“We are quite happy to be adding another talented Turkish setter to our team” stated team manager Nalan Ural and added “Last season, while competing in CEV Cup, our main goal was to get our young and talented players gain experience. Now, with the addition of a successful Turkish player such as Gamze to our already assertive roster, we can say that we will be competing with an experienced team in CEV Champions League. We believe that she will have a significant contribution to our Club.”
Gamze Alikaya, who is currently a member of Turkish National Team, played an important role in the 3-1 win against Dominican Republic at 2018 FIVB Women’s World League a few days ago.
Gamze Alikaya, born in 1993 in Ankara, was transfered to Galatasaray in 2010 and spent her last 8 years there. National Team setter Gamze will wear the Eczacıbaşı VitrA jersey starting from the 2018-2019 season.
