A goodbye dinner took place yesterday for one of the most important figures of Turkish volleyball Nalan Ural who has retired from her job last season as the Manager of Eczacıbaşı Sports Club after 12 years.
Former legendary players from the Club history, Eczacıbaşı Sports Club Board Members, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit players and staff met for the farewell dinner where participants shared some emotional moments together.
Giving a gift plaque to Ural, Club President Faruk Eczacıbaşı said, “Nalan who has made great achievements with us as a volleyball player has also made important contributions to our Club as a Manager and become one of the unforgettable figures of the Club. I would like to thank her with all my heart for making contributions to the presence of Turkish women and touching the lives of many athletes.”
Thanking Eczacıbaşı Sports Club for organizing this goodbye dinner, Nalan Ural said, “I am very glad to see all these people here today who have taken a significant place in my life. I would like to thank my family, my former teammates, our ‘legendary sisters’, and all my colleagues with whom I worked together in the Club. On the other hand, I would like add few words for Cengiz Göllü. Thanks to his efforts for volleyball as a sport we have become successful athletes. Also I would be very pleased to see if I could help our young friends even a little. I will always be supporting them during the rest of their career. I have always been a member of Eczacıbaşı and I will always be a part of this family.”
