American middle blocker Lauren Gibbemeyer renews contract for the next season.
Having joined us last season, Gibbemeyer started her Eczacıbaşı VitrA career by winning the 2018 Turkish Super Cup, the 2019 Turkish Cup and a bronze medal in the 2018 FIVB Club World Championship.
Feeling honored to be a member of the Eczacıbaşı VitrA family, Gibbemeyer adds:

Who is Lauren Gibbemeyer?
Lauren Gibbemeyer was born in 1988 in Rhode Island, U.S. She is 187 cm tall and plays as middle blocker. Her volleyball journey began at Northern Lights Volleyball Club in her hometown Minnesota. During her college years Gibbemeyer played for the University of Minnesota. After she graduated she was asked to play for the United States National Team. Her professional volleyball career began when she started to play for the Japanese team TAB Queenseis in the 2011-2012 season. After playing one year in Japan, the successful middle blocker played for Robursport Pesaro for one season and then transferred to Lokomotiv Baku. After the first half of that season she wore the Imoco Volley Conegliano jersey. She played for Pomi Casalmaggiore from 2014 to 2017. She has won the Italian Cup last season with the Italian side Igor Gorgonzola Novara, where she played for one season.
In 2016, she has won the CEV Champions League and been the runner-up of the FIVB Club World Championship. Beside the international achievements she has reached, she has been a remarkable player in the Italian League by winning the national championship once (2014-2015), the Italian Cup once (2017-2018) and the Italian Super Cup twice (2015, 2017).
Her successful club career has been throned by a gold medal at the 2015 World Grand Prix and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League. She has finished the 2018 World Championship in the fifth place with the US National Team.
In the 2018-2019 season, Gibbemeyer started her Eczacıbaşı VitrA career by winning the Spor Toto Champions Cup, which was known as the Turkish Super Cup. She won a bronze medal in the 2018 FIVB Women's Club World Championship and the 2019 Turkish Cup.
