Gamze Alikaya, who has become a member of Eczacıbaşı VitrA family a few months ago, was born in 1993 in İstanbul, Turkey. The experienced setter, who is 179 cm tall, spent her Academy years at Koç İlköğretim Okulları Sports Club. Step-by-step, she has shown that she would become an important actor in the future of the Turkish Volleyball. Her first international achievements with the National Team came in 2009 by gaining the 4th place in U18 FIVB World Championship and the 1st place in the European Youth Olympics Festival. She has also gained the 5th place in U23 FIVB World Championship in 2013.
In 2010, Gamze was transferred to Galatasaray, where she has played for 8 years. During those years, Gamze has gained the 2nd place in CEV Cup and the 4th place in CEV Champions League, both twice. In the 2016-2017 season, she has gained the 2nd place in the Turkish League. The same year, she participated in the 2017 World Grand Prix with the Turkish National Team and also won a bronze in the 2017 CEV European Volleyball Championship.
