Continuing preparations for the 2024-2025 season with friendly matches organized by Aydın B.Ş.B in Kusadasi, the orange and white team has wrapped up the preparatory tournament with the matches played.
On the first day of the tournament, our team faced Aydın B.Ş.B and started with a 3-1 victory. On the second day, we lost 3-1 to our Champions League group stage opponent SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN. On the final day of the preparatory tournament, we played against VakıfBank and won 3-2, concluding the tournament with a victory. During the tournament, our team captains Tijana Boskovic and new transfer Dana Rettke joined the squad. Our youth players Megi Bislimi, Ezel Balık, Kübra Evsen, and Eylül Durgun were also involved in the matches throughout the tournament.
Head Coach Ferhat Akbaş shared his thoughts after the camp: “Each of our players has a different rhythm, and we are trying to bring them closer together. This was a very useful tournament for us. It was particularly important to see our young players Ezel, Kübra, Eylül, and Megi here. We always place great importance on our youth teams, and it is gratifying to watch bright young talents achieve great things. In terms of the overall tournament, despite not finding its physical rhythm, our team showed a fighting spirit and worked to maintain a high level of play. Finishing the preparatory tournament with a win against one of our key rivals, VakıfBank, was valuable for us.”
Since our establishment in 1966, our sports school has focused not only on club achievements but also on player development, introducing hundreds of girls to volleyball. As of Saturday, September 7th, our school has reopened at full capacity.
