Saliha Şahin extends contract as a Tiger

The Club extends contract with our young player Saliha Şahin. Also playing for the Turkish National Team, Saliha Şahin will continue wearing the orange and white jersey.

Commenting on the contract extension of Saliha Şahin, Board Member Sacit Basmacı said: “Saliha is one of our most promising players that we value a lot. She had a breakout season in the past year and contributed well to our team. We want to watch her develop and achieve great successes together.”

Sharing her thoughts about continuing her career with the orange and white colors, Saliha Şahin said: “Since the day I came to this Club, I knew that this would be the beginning of a new era for me. We are a beautiful family together and I am happy that I will remain a part of this family. I believe we will achieve even greater results together in the upcoming season.”

 

About Saliha Şahin

Saliha had her development at Karayolları Sports Club in Ankara. She was transferred to Eczacıbaşı VitrA in 2018 yet she played the 2018-2019 season at Karayolları on loan and then joined the squad of Tigers in the 2019-2020 season.

Since she joined us in 2019, Saliha achieved several successes as a Tiger, such as winning the 2019 and 2020 Turkish Super Cup titles and a silver medal in the 2019 FIVB Club World Championship.

Saliha who played in the Turkish National Volleyball Team’s age categories won fourth place in the U20 World Championship and a gold medal in the U23 World Championship. Saliha was in the preliminary squad of the Turkish National Team that won a silver medal in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
