The final stage of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League starts today with our star spiker Hande Baladın being back in charge for the Turkish National Team after recovering the small surgery she had over her neck.
Having completed the pool stage with 11 victories out of 15 games in pockets, our National Team has made it to the Volleyball National League Final Six for the second year in a row. Eczacıbaşı VitrA’s successful libero Simge Şebnem Aköz, young talent Yasemin Güveli and star spiker Hande Baladın, who went through a small surgery over her neck weeks ago and came back quickly after recovery, will compete in the Finals, which will be held in Nanjing, China between July 3 and 7.
Also known as the Sultans of the Net, Turkish ladies will play their first game in Pool A against the host China today at 7.30 pm local time. Our next match will be against Italy on Thursday, July 4, at 7.30 pm local time.
Brazil captain Natalia Zilio Pereira, who has become a member of Eczacıbaşı VitrA family for the coming season, will lead her team against Team USA in Poland in Pool B of the Finals.
Teams finishing the pool stage in the first two places will proceed to the semi finals.
