As the runners-up of last season’s Turkish Cup, the team will face VakıfBank tomorrow, last season’s Turkish League champions, for the 2021 Spor Toto Champions Cup, also known as the Super Cup, in Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall. Title-holders of the Super Cup since 2018, Tigers are working non-stop to bring the Super Cup trophy home for a fourth year in a row.
Team captain Simge Aköz shares her thoughts on the coming match: “Once again we will face VakıfBank for the Champions Cup match. We have been winning it for the last three years. We have started the season with the Turkish Cup tournament. We are aware of what we can do and what we are missing. We have gone through a tough preparation period yet started the season in a good shape. We will add on our performance each passing day. Like always I believe that we will deliver a match with a high volleyball quality.”
