In the first match of Turkish Cup’s Pool B, the team has defeated Mert Grup Sigorta by 3-0, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-11.
In the first set of the match, the team has come out stronger especially in blocking and won the set by 25-19. The team scored a total of 7 blocks in the first set. Laura Heyrman brought in 5 points in total.
The team has continued their dominance in the second set with the help of setter Maja Ognjenovic’s balanced set and won the second and third sets by 25-21 and 25-11, consecutively.
Playing her first official match as a Tiger today, Laura Heyrman has been the best scorer of the match by 17 points. On the other hand, the team scored a total of 17 blocks.
Tigers middle blocker Yasemin Güveli who was in the starting line-up had an unfortunate injury in the first set. A medical update will be delivered by the Club later.
