In front of as many as 1.000 spectators, the Tigers had a 3-1 defeat over Allianz MTV STUTTGART in Eczacıbaşı Sports Hall Istanbul, with team captain Tijana Boskovic leading her team by 34 points.
Showing a good attack performance in the beginning of the first set, Tigers led by 9-4 before the first time out of the match. With the American outside hitter McKenzie Adams and Belgian middle blocker Laura Heyrman scoring some super spikes, Tigers came out stronger by 25-19. McKenzie Adams scored 3 aces in the first set.
The second set started head-to-head. Allianz MTV Stuttgart pushed the home team Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul with the help of their American outside hitter Simone Lee who scored 6 points in the second set. Tijana Boskovic’s 13 points were not enough to take the lead in the second set which Allianz MTV Stuttgart won by 25-22.
In the third set, Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul took back their control over the match with Tijana Boskovic scoring 12 points.
In the fourth set, despite all defensive efforts of the German team Allianz MTV Stuttgart, Tigers managed to come out stronger.
Tijana Boskovic who scored 34 points is the best scorer of the match. Tigers scored a total of 10 blocks and 8 aces throughout the whole match.
