Tigers return home from their first league match with three points in their pockets.
With captain Tijana Boskovic leading the team by 24 points, Tigers managed to win a tough away match in four sets against Nilüfer Belediyespor in Bursa. Middle blocker Laura Heyrman and outside hitter Hande Baladın's attacks today were also remarkable as they scored 15 and 14 points, respectively. The balanced setting of Maja Ognjenovic who scored 4 points today is one of the keys for today's victory.
Eczacıbaşı Dynavit will play against VakıfBank next Tuesday, October 12, at 6 pm on home soil, Eczacıbaşı Sports Hall. There will be live broadcast on TRT Spor Yıldız.
Post-match Interviews
Ferhat Akbaş: “It is important for us to start the league in a good way. Away match in Bursa is always tough. Of course, it was not easy for us to play the first match here but in my opinion we did a good job today. We need to work a lot on our serves. The team is bringing out a better performance each passing day. Hopefully we will play even better in the next games.”
Beyza Arıcı: “We played against a strong team. We could not bring out our performance as desired in the second yet but we managed to win in the end. It was important to start the league with a victory. I congratulate my teammates.”
