Our young star Tijana Boskovic has received the Serbian Olympic Committee's "Player of the Year" award.
Lately, Tijana has been selected for the 2018 FIVB Club World Championship's Dream Team as the "Best Opposite Player". Playing an important role in her National Team's recent success, Tijana has been honoured by the Serbian Olympic Committee as the "Player of the Year".
Who is Tijana Boskovic?
Tijana Boškovic was born in 1997 and is a volleyball player for the Serbia women's national volleyball team. She was the leading scorer for the Serbia women's national volleyball team in her debut in the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.
Her home club was ZOK Partizan Vizura where she is a first team member. She played in Vizura for four seasons (2011-2013 OK Vizura, 2013-2015 OK Partizan Vizura).
She has been wearing Eczacibasi VitrA's jersey since 2015-2016 season. She has won one Serbia Championship (2013-2014 season), two Serbia Super Cups (2013 and 2014).
At the national team level she won the European Junior Championships in 2014 and also, she has been awarded as the championship's "Most Valuable Player" (MVP) award.
She won the silver medal with her national team in Rio2016 Olympic Games, gold medals in the 2017 European Championship and 2018 World Championship. She has also become the MVP of the latter two tournaments.
She won the 2016 FIVB Women’s CWC and the “MVP” and “Best Opposite” awards of tournament with Eczacıbaşı VitrA. Also, she won the 2018 CEV Cup, being awarded as the “MVP”. In 2018, she has won the Spor Toto Champions Cup, which was known as the Turkish Super Cup. As she won a bronze medal in the 2018 FIVB Club World Championship, she has also been selected to the Dream Team as the Best Opposite Player.
In 2017 and 2018, Tijana received the CEV's Female Volleyball Player of the Year award two years in a row.
