Competing in Pool B at 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, Turkish National Team started the tournament with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-15) win over Canada.
While Eczacıbaşı VitrA's spiker Meliha İsmailoğlu had important share on this win by scoring 9 points (5 attacks, 1 block, 3 serves), Eczacıbaşı VitrA's libero Simge Şebnem Aköz greatly supported her team where she shone with the defenses and digs that she made.

Eczacıbaşı VitrA's young star Tijana Boskovic had an important share on the Serbian National Team's 3-0 win over Dominican Republic where she scored a total of 15 attack points.
Despite of the fact that our spiker Yeon Koung Kim carried her team with a 23-point (21 attacks, 1 block, 1 serve) performance against Thailand in Pool C, South Korea lost 3-2 today.
