On our last match in the Turkish Cup’s Pool B, we lost 3-0 to Galatasaray HDI Sigorta.
Finishing Pool B by two wins in three matches, the team have secured a spot in the quarterfinal stage as the second ranked team of Pool B.
Today’s match delivered some exciting moments to volleyball fans in Izmir. The team’s leading scorer was Tijana Boskovic who scored 18 points in total. Despite all efforts of Tijana Boskovic and Hande Baladın, Galatasaray managed to come out stronger in all three sets.
Our quarterfinal matchup will be decided after a draw. Quarterfinal stage will take place on 5-6 January, 2022 as a single match in the home court of the team which has a higher ranking in the league. Winning four teams of the quarterfinal will qualify for the Final Four.

Ferhat Akbaş: "This tournament in Izmir has been a tournament in which we have tried different rotations from the beginning until the end and seen what we are lacking. Today in general, especially our block and defense and serving quality was not good. We had difficulties in stopping Galatasaray’s offensive threats and bringing in our own tactics. In the end, we are in the quarter final of Turkish Cup now which belongs to one of our four championship goals. We will continue our hard work before the Turkish League and Super Cup matches."
