In the second game of FIVB Women’s World Championship Round 2, which takes place in Osaka, Japan, our National Team lost 3-0 (21-25, 17-25, 18-25) against the USA.
While our libero Simge Şebnem Aköz advanced to the 6th place after her performance today, our spiker Meliha İsmailoğlu made a contribution of 7 points (6 attacks, 1 ace).
Eczacıbaşı VitrA and Team USA Captain Jordan Larson scored 10 points (8 attacks, 2 blocks), while middle blocker Lauren Gibbemeyer won 5 attack points today.
In Pool E, Serbia defeated Germany 3-0, where our Serbian opposite Tijana Boskovic scored a total of 17 points by attack and became the best scorer of the game.
