The team has finished Pool D by a 3-1 win against Dinamo Moscow, proceeding to the quarterfinals unbeaten by winning all six matches.
In the first set, the team did a good job in reception and Elif Şahin managed to ‘activate’ all its attackers. Jordan Thompson and Tijana Boskovic’s attacks were remarkable as the Tigers comfortably took the first set by 25-16. A solid block performance was the key of winning the first set.
Dinamo Moscow stroke back in the second set (25-19). However, the team fought well until the end, especially in defense, and gave the signals of a stronger performance in the following set despite of losing the second one.
In the third set, the team came out stronger after 4-4 as Beyza Arıcı broke the tie and pushed the opposing team through her consecutive serves until 10-4. The third set ended in our favor (25-14).
The team has continued its dominant block performance and managed to finish Pool D unbeaten after winning the fourth set by 25-18.
