Eczacıbaşı Future Spike met with İlber Ortaylı

Our club, which has been a pioneer in Turkish sports with the projects it has implemented since the day it was founded, experienced the Republic enthusiasm in Antalya in the 8th year of our Future Spike project, which we started in 2015 in cooperation with ES Volleyball with the principle of equal opportunity in sports.
The second day of the "Star-Junior Teams" leg of the 15th Development Teams Tournament, organized within the scope of our project, is behind us. Historian, academician and writer İlber Ortaylı met with the volleyball players of our future in the "Republic Talks" held at the tournament on the 100th anniversary of our Republic.

On the 100th anniversary of our Republic, 350 young volleyball players from many of our campuses listened to the Republic from İlber Ortaylı. İlber Ortaylı, who came together with the volleyball players on the second day of the organization, which offers the opportunity to develop and show themselves, emphasized the importance of doing sports for young athletes by talking about many topics from the firsts of our Republic to sports, from the period of national struggle to health.
Continuing his words by talking about the importance of the Republic, İlber Ortaylı said that many regions in the world have tried this path, but our Republic continues its existence with the unique struggle of the Turkish people. In addition to sports, one should also be interested in art.
In the "Republic Talks", which took place with the high participation and interest of young athletes, İlber Ortaylı also talked about the Turkish women's struggle for rights. While İlber Ortaylı emphasized that women should take an active role in all areas of life, he also gave advice about their educational lives. Stating that the future of the Republic is very bright and that he expects great success in sports in the future, İlber Ortaylı added that sports alone are never enough and that it is necessary to be interested in art as well as sports.

The second leg of the 15th Eczacıbaşı Future Spike Development Teams Tournament will continue until November 19, 2023. On November 17, Turkish researcher and writer Selim Erdoğan will speak at the "Republic Talks".
On the last day of our organization, young volleyball players will perform a special dance show for the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Thanks to the "Republic" dance, young athletes will pay their respects to the founder of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
