A former athlete of our Academy, Fatma Yıldırım joins us in the 2020-2021 season!
Team Manager Nalan Ural states the following about Fatma rejoining Tigers: “We have agreed with the experienced wing spiker of the Turkish National Team, Fatma Yıldırım. We believe that she will make an important contribution to the team as an experienced and talented player.”
About Fatma Yıldırım
Born in 1990 in Mersin, Fatma Yıldırım is 180 cm tall and plays as a wing spiker.
Fatma started playing volleyball at Toros College, Mersin when she was 10 years old and was transferred to our Academy when she was 15. A member of Eczacıbaşı Academy’s talented 1990-born class who have become into great volleyball players of Turkish volleyball in later years, Fatma Yıldırım won the national championship title each time she participated with the youth and junior teams of Tigers.
Fatma received an athletic scholarship from the Florida State University when she was 19 years old. During her college years, she played both volleyball and beach volleyball. After she graduated, Fatma played for Halkbank, Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor and Fenerbahçe Opet consecutively. Having represented Turkey with the beach volleyball national team as well, Fatma is a currently a member of the Turkish National Team.
