Eczacıbaşı VitrA defeated Fenerbahçe Opet 3-0 and finished Week 15 as the leader in the Vestel Venus Sultans League.
A point-by-point start in the İstanbul derby was ruined our captain Jordan Larson’s serve streak before the technical time out in the first set. With the help of Jordan’s strong serves and our spiker Meliha İsmailoğlu’s strong attacks, our team led the first set 25-22. Despite Fenerbahçe’s leadance in the beginning of the second set, Eczacıbaşı VitrA came out strong with the help of our young star Tijana Boskovic’s important contribution in attack. Our setter Ezgi Dilik finished the thrilling second set with an ace (31-29). In the final set, our team held control over the game (25-23) and finished Week 15 with a great win in straight sets.
Tijana Boskovic was the best scorer of the game today with 28 points. Soon after the game, Eczacıbaşı VitrA celebrated the win with our supporters Tigers.
