Having clinched the U15 National Championship title three days ago, U15 ladies celebrated their great success with the Club President Faruk Eczacıbaşı.
President Faruk Eczacıbaşı invited the U15 Team players and staff to his office at Kanyon. Mr. Eczacıbaşı made a congratulation speech and advised the young athletes to collect as many stories as possible throughout their lives: “You have let us witness a great story. I would like to congratulate you all. I am sure you will record greater achievements in the future”.
After his speech, team captain Defne let everyone relive the story behind their success and how her team managed to come back strong in the final match:
"We gave our best throughout the whole tournament. We have promised that we would support each other and fight until the last ball no matter what would happen. Well, we were a little stressed at the beginning because carrying the name 'Eczacıbaşı' is a great honor for all of us and knowing this was not easy to handle at the final. We were losing 2-0 yet we never gave up. We have told each other that we could do it because we had to be the champions this season and make Eczacıbaşı Sports Club be proud of us. And we achieved a great comeback".
